About the Home

When the opportunity to bring a taste of “west-coast” architecture to the North Georgia mountains came along, the Coleman Log Homes crew jumped at the chance. At just over 5,000 square feet of living space, this extraordinary craftsman-style home features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, a game room, and a loft office with a view that is to die for.

The home brings out Asian-inspired architectural elements with pagoda-style roof lines, larger-than-normal overhangs, and an intentional bilateral symmetry that utilizes enclosed, yet open spaces to present a subtle feng shui appeal.

The interior and exterior living spaces are draped around magnificent floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplaces with oversized cedar mantles, separated by a sixteen-foot sliding panel door that opens from wall to wall to let the outside in when desired. Wood ceilings, floors, doors, and trim bring out the rustic appeal of this otherwise elegantly modern home.

The roof is capped with commercial standing seam metal to capture the boldness of the endless roof lines. One of the more custom features of this home that immediately grabs your attention upon entry is the ten-foot skylight that is the focal point of the living room ceiling and resembles the top of the Louvre in Paris. No matter your taste, this custom Coleman home has endless inspirations. See for yourself.
