This page outlines the requirements and materials needed to complete the Blue Ridge Mountains Parade of Homes Scholarship application. Please review all application requirements below before completing the application.
Application submission for the 2026 scholarship award is now closed. Applications for next year will be accepted beginning February 1, 2027.
Requirements
Eligibility
- Eligible students must be seniors attending Copper Basin, Fannin County, Gilmer County, Pickens County, or Union County High School.
- Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a Georgia CTAE pathway related to construction or the skilled trades. Pathways are limited to Architecture and Construction, Manufacturing, or Engineering focused pathways offered by the student’s high school.
- Applicants must have applied to a college or trade school, or be currently employed or apprenticing in their chosen trade.
Application and Interview Process
- Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 13, 2026.
- Students must participate in an in person interview as part of the application process.
- Selected applicants will be notified with interview details, including date and time, following the initial review.
Award Details
- Scholarship recipients will be awarded $10,000, disbursed in two $5,000 installments; the first during the scholarship banquet in May, and the second in December.
- Recipients must complete 20 volunteer hours supporting the Blue Ridge Mountains Parade of Homes to be eligible to receive the second $5,000 installment.
- Funds may be used for post secondary education related expenses only. Any other use of funds requires prior approval from the Parade committee and will be considered only in special circumstances.
- Scholarship funds will be administered and managed by Edward Jones in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
